About the joint event

One trip, two conferences on the theory of computation

DCFS and NCMA have run alongside each other for several editions. Both study how automata, grammars and other formal systems can be measured, compared and applied — from opposite but complementary angles — and share a single venue and social programme in Brno in 2027.

DCFS 2027

28th International Conference on Descriptional Complexity of Formal Systems

An IFIP WG 1.02 conference on the cost of describing objects in computational models: automata, grammars, circuits and the trade-offs between them.
